Happy Mother’s Day

My mom is a neverending song in my heart of comfort, happiness, and being. I may sometimes forget the words but I always remember the tune. ~Graycie Harmon

this quote embodies the kind of mother I aspire to be, the kind of mother I have.
HAPPY MOTHER”S DAY!! to all of YOU, to those too, who manage to mother others, even though they may not have children of there own. So many nurturing women, thank you.

What a great image and quote. Was talking to my son the other day about my recent realization that I spend too much time trying to figure out how to be his mother in specific detail, as he changes and I change and the world changes right along with us – how the end of the realization was the sudden awareness that it was the “being” part that mattered most – that I am always wondering how/what/why in specific detail but to him it very simple and impossible to question or “correct” I *am* his mother – and it’s being that which matters to him irrespective of the details …

it’s a tune you sing daily in perfect pitch, laney. and not just to your children, either.

I feel this quote in my heart, as well. Just lovely – thank you for sharing it as well as the picture. Are you familiar with Edward Curtis? He was a photographer famous for photographing Native Americans. I have several of his books — a great inspiration.
