Quilted panorama

quilt-2.jpg

Here is the latest on the quilt. I have had fun putting it together. I have had gliches in posting photos….may be less frequent photos of the quilt until we get the laptop back. I will still try to post about other things, between photos of the quilt progress. Does anyone have any suggestions for the quilt? I plan on adding salmon, more snowflakes and some mandalas, trees, a compass and eagle feathers.  Thank you everyone for stopping by and I will try to get back on schedule with answering comments and visiting your blogs!!

wow, this is really coming along. how big is it? what is that fabric at the top, it is wonderful….. this reminds me of something like the drawing of some indian tribes. perhaps you could do some picture writing to represents some specific memories, maybe as a border? i usually just think about the person as i work and all kind of things pop into my head. then i look through every scrap and fabric inspires idea…i am rambling… it would be nice to find a quote or something story like that fits and creat a river of words running through somewhere. i have something like that planned for walter’s quilt soon…..( listen to the river, ha ha) . i like the concept of nature speaking. rambling again.

what you have planned sound wonderful… I can’t remember what you dad’s activities are up in alaska….beside living in alaska! which of course is a great adventure in my book. anything there that would be good to incorporate.

sorry to read about the continuing problems with your laptop! that’s a bummer!

I always live in dread of my computer dying, given that it’s an old hand me down… I always have that dread in the back of my mind!

I’m loving every bit of your ‘painting’ and the characters/plants that you will be adding onto it. Will there be an Alaskan dog? 🙂
    Come back soon!
