Quote
“Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense.” –

If you haven’t seen this video, please do.
Made by a young man from America, who learned from the Australians about the importance and joy in world travel….he had a great idea and shared it. Watch, it’ll make ya cry and laugh, and just be happy to be human.
gardening 101
July 6, 2008 at 4:22 am (Uncategorized)
I didn’t exactly get the gardening gene. I do okay with houseplants. When I was about 15 I attempted a garden in our backyard……peppers, cucumbers and tomatoes.
The tomatoes were the only thing that really took off.
I’m hoping that my offspring will decide to like eating veggies if we grow them ourselves……to my delight and surprise it’s working so far! Nasturtiums and green onions have been deemed “yummy”! Yeah!!
We are still waiting on the watermelon. I didn’t read the package thuroughly enough and realized after my watermelon plants sprouted that they should have been about 4 additional feet apart from one another. Oops! Also, I can’t bring myself to nip off the excess blooms, I’ve been so happy to see those pretty yellow flowers.
Hope all is well in your neck of the woods and your gardens are growing and blooming!
traveling together

“We travel together, passengers on a little spaceship, dependent on it’s vulnerable reserves of air and soil, all committed, for our safety, to it’s security and peace. Preserved from annihilation only by the care, the work and the love we give our fragile craft.” |

Happy Mother’s Day
May 11, 2008 at 8:50 am (Uncategorized)
My mom is a neverending song in my heart of comfort, happiness, and being. I may sometimes forget the words but I always remember the tune. ~Graycie Harmon
this quote embodies the kind of mother I aspire to be, the kind of mother I have.
HAPPY MOTHER”S DAY!! to all of YOU, to those too, who manage to mother others, even though they may not have children of there own. So many nurturing women, thank you.
